The Carter G. Woodson Academy is a middle school program offering small class sizes in a family-like atmosphere where teachers engage students in various kinds of hands-on activities based on state core curriculum standards that encourages our students to learn and grow to become well-adjusted healthy individuals. The Academy encourages parental involvement through parent/teacher conferences, parent volunteer groups and shared governance of the schools program through the parent advisory council.
